also, going back to d&d... it's not all about dungeons, dragons, and dice rolling. it is an intricate strategy game where you have to keep your wits about you to have a chance at glory and sweet victory. or at least survival. thaaaaat said. realistically, we should probably go and find out what all this stuff is. if it was one of my campaigns, not going would be worse for the players. way worse. plus there's safety in numbers in going.
